Hello Deviants. Here is the summary of what I have been doing since... (checks) around the end of February 2007.

I became a permanent sub for a 10th grade English teacher who quit overnight. I knew nothing about the curriculum, the students, or what they were reading at the time. I had a LOT of work to do. In fact, I was fairly overwhelmed since I was also taking courses for a Master of Arts in Special Education at the time.

Sweet success! They loved me! They interviewed me twice in June and I was hired beginning of July 2007 for the same position I had expertly covered as a permanent sub.

My first year of teaching was crazy. CRAZY! I was writing lessons every night and taking master courses and personal stuff happened and it was nuts.

I am nearing the end of my second year of teaching and I am feeling slightly more sane. I am still working on that master degree, but hopefully it will be done by the end of July.
